Mt Adams

NWSA Mt. Adams Center

Located in Trout Lake, Washington, a rural town of 700 people situated near Mt. Adams and the southern end of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

The nearest larger towns are White Salmon, Washington, and Hood River, Oregon, in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The Mt. Adams Center serves communities in six counties throughout the Mid-Columbia Region and partners with approximately 40 agencies including local schools, conservation districts, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Fish & Wildlife and local museums.

Mt. Adams Field Team Program is one of only a few AmeriCorps programs to offer a residential option. During their term, field team members develop a close-knit community that lives and serves together. Individual Placements often choose to share housing in or near the community where their projects are located.
